Refund Policy

At Publishing Avenue, we strive to provide high-quality publishing, writing, editing, design, and marketing services tailored to each client's needs. Due to the customized nature of our services, this Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, cancellations, and revisions may be granted.

By purchasing our services, you agree to this Refund Policy in addition to our Terms and Conditions.

1. REVISION POLICY

We offer revisions to ensure your project aligns with the original brief and agreed scope.

  • Revisions are intended to refine the initial concept or deliverable.
  • Requests for entirely new concepts, major directional changes, or additional features outside the original scope may incur extra charges.
  • The standard revision turnaround time is approximately 48 hours, unless otherwise communicated.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be approved under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payment or billing error
  • Failure to deliver the agreed service
  • Inability to reasonably meet the original project requirements
  • Cancellation requested before work has substantially progressed.

To qualify for consideration:

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 10 business days of the initial delivery or payment.
  • Clients must provide a written explanation of the issue.
  • Clients must cooperate with reasonable attempts at revision or resolution before requesting a refund.

3. Refund Structure

Before Work Begins

  • Eligible for a full refund minus applicable processing and administrative fees if cancellation is requested within 24 hours and no work has started.

After Project Initiation

  • If the project is canceled after work has started, but before substantial completion, a partial refund may be issued depending on:
    1. Project stage
    2. Time invested
    3. Resources utilized
    4. Work already delivered

After Final Delivery

  • Refunds are generally not available once final files, manuscripts, designs, publishing materials, or completed deliverables have been approved or delivered.

4. Service-Specific Refund Conditions

Ghostwriting Services

  • Partial refunds may be considered before complete manuscript delivery.
  • No refunds after final manuscript submission.

Editing & Proofreading

  • Refunds are generally unavailable once editing work has commenced.

Publishing Services

  • No refunds after ISBN registration, formatting, platform submission, or publishing-related processes have been completed.

Marketing & Promotional Services

  • No refunds once campaigns, advertisements, media outreach, or third-party promotions have started.

Marketing & Distribution

  • Refunds depend on the specific marketing services and campaign stage.
  • No refunds for completed marketing or distribution activities.

Design Services

  • Partial refunds may be considered before initial design concepts are delivered.
  • No refunds after design drafts or concepts have been submitted.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • Change of mind after work has started
  • Delays caused by client inactivity or lack of communication
  • Failure to provide required materials, approvals, or feedback
  • Requests outside the eligible refund timeframe
  • Creative preferences differ from the approved brief.
  • Completed or approved work
  • Third-party costs already incurred, including:
    • ISBN registrations
    • Advertising spend
    • Printing setup
    • Publishing platform fees
  • Projects abandoned for 20+ consecutive days
  • Services used for unethical, illegal, or academic dishonesty purposes

6. Cancellation Policy

Clients may request cancellation by contacting us in writing at info@publishingavenue.com.

  • Cancellations requested within 24 hours of the start of work may qualify for a full refund, minus processing fees.
  • Once work has started, refunds will depend on the stage and scope of completed work.
  • Multi-phase or recurring services may be canceled for future work only. Completed phases remain non-refundable.

7. Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  • Full name
  • Order ID or invoice number
  • Project name
  • Reason for the request

Refund requests are typically reviewed within 5-7 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days.

Applicable merchant, gateway, or processing fees may be deducted from the refunded amount.

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

Clients agree to contact Publishing Avenue and attempt internal resolution before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes.

We reserve the right to dispute unjustified chargebacks using project records, communication history, and evidence of delivered work.

9. Ownership Upon Refund

If a refund is issued, all rights to any delivered drafts, concepts, designs, manuscripts, or materials remain the property of Publishing Avenue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients may not use, reproduce, publish, distribute, or modify refunded work.

10. Policy Updates

Publishing Avenue reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
